Software Engineer - Video Streaming and Conferencing needed for a direct hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Bay Area/Point Richmond, CA.
The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Experience with VOIP application development.
- Digital/web media background.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Ensure business continuity of existing streaming and conferencing solution.
- Design, develop and test new generation recording, streaming and conferencing engine based on in-house developed hardware h.264 encoder.
- Development of the mobile client streaming engine.
- Develop state-of-the-art clean and simple APIs for other in-house software projects and customers.
- Develop and maintain VoIP, Conferencing (SIP, H323), RTP/RTSP, H264/AAC Video/Audio server and some client applications (mobile, web).
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Ten (10) years of software development experience.
- Extensive Linux and Open Source video libraries development experience (ffmpeg, live555).
- Proven advanced networking and Multithreading development experience.
- Fluent in Git.
- Linux PCI device drivers development experience.
- Mobile streaming/conferencing development experience.
- Web-based video streaming/vod development experience.
