00 an hour Established Book Printing Company in the East Bay is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative with an understanding of Prepress File Preparation, PDF Workflow, and Printing Standards.
The Role:
Customer Service Representatives at Edition One Books production are highly efficient communicators and operators.
They move from project to project throughout the day responding quickly where need arises.
They keep track of fine details and timelines related to individual orders, while maintaining a comprehensive view of their current workload.
They work closely with the production team to ensure that both print and bindery work is completed to satisfy customer expectations.
They help customers find creative solutions that both meet their expectations and are within our production capabilities.
They maintain and develop a deep understanding of book production and commercial printing, and grow expertise specifically related to the highly customizable products that we produce.
They use that knowledge to relay detailed feedback and instructions to customers regarding file preparation, color expectations, material selection, etc.
Job Requirements:
Act as the primary point of contact for customers and provide end-to-end service, from initial consultation to invoicing & shipping Communicate concisely and efficiently via email with customers, informing them about order timelines, artwork and file requirements, pricing and shipping options Review customer supplied files and provide clear technical feedback and advice based on best practices and production standards Manage multiple orders at once, and act as a steward for customer projects as they progress through the production process Work closely alongside a small and agile customer service team Other Desirable Qualities:
Traditional and / or digital print experience a big plus Prepress / print design background a plus Email Customer Service experience a plus - especially if technical Art / Photography / Graphic design skills are helpful About Us:

Benefits:
This is a full time ON SITE role with hourly compensation.
Initial pay rate will be determined by the candidates experience, and there will be plenty of opportunity for growth.
We help our employees pay for their own health insurance plans, paying a minimum of 50% of the monthly cost, and sometimes more.
Paid vacation begins accruing during the second year of employment, though unpaid time off is available immediately.
Though this is a full time role, we do our best to work with employees to develop a schedule that also works for their personal lives & family.
Sick pay begins to accrue immediately as per California State law requirements.
