Summary:
Data Entry Clerk:
This is a wonderful introductory opportunity for an organized individual with an aptitude for generating and maintaining accurate sources of data! You will be involved in the input and management of data that is critical to Annie's Annuals and Perennials' Propagation and Production Departments.
You will be working in the Propagation Support office where production data is captured and managed.
Plant knowledge and nursery experience are not requirements for this position, but an enthusiasm for plants is always valued.
You will report to our Research & Development Lead and will be working primarily indoors.
Your responsibilities will cover the following supervised tasks:
Responsibilities:
Prepare spreadsheets in Excel to support our Production teams Transfer data from hard copy to a digital database Scan inventory tags and input plant logs into digital database Update production schedule as determined by Production Management Identify discrepancies in data sources and relay to management Update databases to reflect data collected by Production teams As needed, develop & maintain Microsoft Excel templates and macros to improve department's workflow Provide occasional administrative support Desired Qualifications and Skills:
An ability to work efficiently while consistently producing accurate logs of data Must be proficient in Excel Operate common office equipment, like scanners and printers An eye for detail and the ability to audit data for discrepancies and errors The ability and the confidence to create spreadsheets that meet the needs of the end users Must have strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills The ability to work autonomously and maintain critical timelines of workflow An ability to collaborate with others to ensure that we are all meeting our common goals Must be able to listen and take direction well Energy and Enthusiasm:
Must find the work fun while being accountable for responsibilities Must have strong written and verbal communication skills This is an on-site job Bilingual is a plus Must currently live in the Bay Area or be willing to relocate.
There is no relocation budget.
